One year scholarship program sponsored by the Free State of Bavaria
for students from Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe

The Bavarian ministry for science, research and art will sponsor scholarships for the academic year 2010/11. Graduates from Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Ukraine are eligible to apply. The scholarships are meant to finance doctoral or postgraduate studies at Bavarian universities. One year scholarships can be extended twice for up to 3 years.

The scholarship is paid out monthly (700 €) and amounts to 8400 € per year. Students with children or an unemployed partner and at least one child receive 860 € per month, which amounts to 10320 € per year. Candidates should send their documents to the address specified in the application forms.

Summer school grants sponsored by the partner states of
the Free State of Bavaria
for students from Bavarian universities

Bulgaria, Croatia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic and Hungary offer grants for summer language courses at their universities. All students currently enrolled at Bavarian universities, technical colleges and art schools are eligible to apply.
The grants generally include tuition fees, housing, meals and excursions. Travel expenses and health insurance must be covered by the students.

Scholarships for study visits in Croatia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia
for students from Bavarian universities

Additionally the partner countries, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Czech Republic, offer scholarships for study stays at their universities and research institutions for Bavarian students.

Scholarships of the Free State of Bavaria for summer German language courses in Bavaria*
for students from Eastern and Southeastern Europe

These scholarships enable students from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, FYROM, Serbia, Slovenia and Ukraine to participate in a summer school course at a Bavarian university. The scholarship covers tuition fees, housing and meals for the duration of the course.
